About Vermont

Between 1777 and 1791, Vermont was an independent republic with its own coins and postal service. In 1791, it joined the Union, becoming the 14th state.

Vermont is the second smallest state in population. Montpelier is the smallest state capital in the U.S. and the only one without a McDonalds.

Ben & Jerry’s donates their ice cream waste to local farmers to feed to their hogs. It seems the hogs like every flavor but Mint Oreo.
